Abstract

The use of digital technology in mathematics learning still needs to be optimized so that it functions not only as a medium for delivering materials but also as a tool to support adaptive practice aligned with students’ learning needs. SMP Telkom Bandung, as the community service partner, has adequate digital infrastructure but still requires teacher capacity building in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology to support mathematics learning. This community service activity aimed to implement AI in the Math Helper SMP application as a website-based adaptive mathematics learning system and to improve teachers’ understanding of its educational use. The activity was conducted at SMP Telkom Bandung on June 10, 2026, with mathematics teachers as the main participants. The implementation methods included material presentation, application demonstration, hands-on system practice, discussion, and evaluation using a questionnaire distributed to the partner participants. The evaluation results showed that all respondents strongly agreed with the relevance of the material, adequacy of the implementation time, clarity of the presentation, quality of committee services, and the need for similar activities to be continued in the future. This activity contributed positively to improving teachers’ digital literacy, strengthening their understanding of AI-based adaptive learning, and opening opportunities for the use of Math Helper SMP to support more interactive, personalized, and sustainable mathematics learning.
