About the Journal

Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Bayanika (JPMB) is a periodical scientific journal published by Bayanika Academic Press. This journal focuses on publishing articles on community service activities conducted by lecturers, researchers, practitioners, students, academic communities, educational institutions, social organizations, and other stakeholders that make a significant contribution to community empowerment and development.

JPMB serves as a scientific dissemination platform for documenting, analyzing, and disseminating various community service practices based on science, technology, education, social issues, economics, health, the environment, and community innovation. This journal not only publishes activity reports but also encourages articles that have a clear problem-based basis, systematic implementation methods, impact evaluation, critical reflection, and a tangible contribution to the target community.

Focus and Scope

Bayanika Community Service Journal accepts articles in the fields of community service, community empowerment, the application of appropriate technology, community education, digital literacy, MSME mentoring, social innovation, public health, community capacity building, local economic development, the environment and sustainability, community digital transformation, and community service activities based on multidisciplinary science.

The scope of articles that can be published includes, but is not limited to:

education and learning-based community service;

community training, mentoring, and empowerment;

application of appropriate technology in the community;

digital literacy, data, artificial intelligence, and information technology for the community;

support for MSMEs, entrepreneurship, and the creative economy;

public health, sanitation, nutrition, and social welfare;

empowerment of communities, villages, Islamic boarding schools, schools, social institutions, and community groups;

social innovation and community capacity development;

environmental service, sustainability, and risk mitigation-based service;

evaluation of the impact of community service programs.

JPMB accepts articles in both Indonesian and English. To increase scientific visibility and readability, authors are encouraged to provide bilingual titles, abstracts, keywords, and article metadata.

Open Access Policy

JPMB implements an Open Access policy, meaning all published articles can be freely accessed, read, downloaded, copied, shared, and used by the public for academic, educational, research, and community development purposes, while still providing appropriate citation to the original author and source.

This open access principle is based on the belief that the results of community service should be widely disseminated to provide greater benefits to academics, practitioners, policymakers, and the general public.

Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to JPMB undergoes an initial selection process by the editors to ensure its suitability to the journal's focus and scope, completeness of formatting, and adherence to the journal's guidelines. Manuscripts that pass the initial selection process will be sent to reviewers for academic review.

JPMB implements a peer review process to maintain the quality of published articles. Reviewers will assess aspects of originality, relevance of the problem, clarity of implementation methods, quality of analysis of results, impact of activities, contribution to society, conformity to the template, and suitability of the article for publication.

The final decision on a manuscript rests with the editors based on the reviewers' assessment and consideration of the journal's editorial policies.

Publication Ethics Statement

JPMB is committed to maintaining academic integrity, scientific honesty, and publication ethics. Every author, editor, and reviewer is required to adhere to the ethical principles of scientific publication, including avoiding plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplication of publication, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and other unethical publication practices.

Authors are responsible for the originality of the manuscript, the accuracy of the data, the clarity of the author's contributions, and adherence to the ethics of community service activities. Editors are responsible for maintaining the objectivity of the editorial process, while reviewers are responsible for providing fair, objective, constructive, and confidential assessments.

Copyright Statement

The copyright of the article remains with the author. By submitting a manuscript to JPMB, the author grants the journal the right to publish, distribute, archive, and display the article in electronic form or other relevant formats for scientific publication purposes.

Articles published in JPMB may be used, disseminated, and quoted by others provided that the author's name, article title, journal name, volume, page number, DOI (if available), and a link to the original article are properly cited.

License

JPMB implements an open license to support the dissemination of knowledge. Published articles may be reused for academic and non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution to the author and journal is provided. Article license information will be displayed on the article page and in the publication metadata.

Sponsorship Statement

JPMB is published by Bayanika Academic Press under CV. Sinergi Utama Berkah. The entire journal editorial process is conducted independently, adhering to academic principles, publication ethics, and scientific journal management standards. If sponsorship, collaboration, or funding is provided for the publication of special issues or journal activities, this information will be stated openly on the journal or article page.

Publication Fee

The Bayanika Community Service Journal (JPMB) charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 300,000 for each article accepted for publication. This fee is used to support journal management, editorial administration, OJS website maintenance, editing, article layout, digital archiving, and open access publication.

The APC is only paid after the manuscript has gone through the editorial process and is accepted by the editor. There is no fee for the initial manuscript submission stage. JPMB is committed to transparently communicating all fee information to authors and not charging hidden fees beyond those announced on the journal's website.

The APC amount can be reviewed at any time according to journal management needs. Any changes to the publication fee will be publicly announced on the journal website before being implemented.

Journal History

The Bayanika Community Service Journal was established as part of Bayanika Academic Press's commitment to building a scientific publication ecosystem that supports the dissemination of community service results. This journal was developed to serve as a publication platform for lecturers and academics who carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the field of community service.

Through JPMB, various good practices, innovations, and the impact of community service activities are expected to be scientifically documented, widely disseminated, and serve as a reference for the implementation of future community service programs.

This data will not be used for any purpose other than journal management and will not be provided to third parties without consent, except as required by applicable law.

Archiving Policy

JPMB is committed to maintaining the availability and continuous access to published articles. Published articles will be stored in the electronic journal system and accessible through the journal archive.

This journal also supports the principle of long-term digital archiving. Participation in archiving systems such as LOCKSS and/or CLOCKSS can be activated to ensure that journal content remains available and protected from the risk of data loss, system failure, or long-term access disruptions. Furthermore, the journal performs regular data backups through its hosting system and the publisher's internal backup mechanisms.
