Bayanika Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is committed to transparent, fair, and ethical open access publishing. The Article Processing Charge is used to support editorial management, peer review administration, copyediting, layout editing, online publication, website maintenance, digital archiving, and long-term journal development.

Current Publication Fee

The current Article Processing Charge for manuscripts accepted for publication in Bayanika Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is FREE.

The APC is charged only after the manuscript has successfully completed editorial screening, peer review, revision, final editorial assessment, and has been formally accepted for publication.

No Submission Fee

Authors are not charged any fee at the time of manuscript submission. Manuscripts can be submitted and processed for initial editorial screening without payment.

APC After Acceptance

The Article Processing Charge is requested only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Payment is not required before peer review and does not influence editorial decisions.

No Acceptance Guarantee

Payment or willingness to pay does not guarantee acceptance. All manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal scope.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently by the editor-in-chief, handling editors, and reviewers. Financial matters are separated from peer review and editorial evaluation.

Editorial Management

Administration of submission, editorial screening, peer review coordination, and editorial communication.

Peer Review Support

Management of reviewer invitations, review tracking, decision documentation, and revision monitoring.

Copyediting and Layout

Final formatting, article layout preparation, metadata checking, and proofreading coordination.

Online Publication

Publication of the final article on the journal website with stable article landing pages and downloadable PDF files.

Website Maintenance

Maintenance of the journal platform, archives, navigation pages, security, backups, and technical infrastructure.

Journal Development

Support for indexing preparation, metadata improvement, digital visibility, and long-term journal sustainability.

Waiver and Discount Policy

The journal may provide APC waivers or discounts for selected authors under certain conditions, especially for invited articles, high-quality manuscripts, authors from under-resourced institutions, early-career researchers, or special academic collaborations approved by the editorial office.

Waiver or discount requests must be submitted before final publication. Approval of a waiver or discount is not automatic and does not influence the editorial decision.

Payment Procedure

Acceptance Notification

The corresponding author receives an official acceptance notification from the editorial office.

Invoice Issuance

The journal sends an official invoice containing the manuscript title, author information, APC amount, payment details, and payment deadline.

Payment Confirmation

The author completes the payment and sends proof of payment to the editorial office for verification.

Production Process

After payment confirmation, the accepted manuscript proceeds to copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and online publication.

Refund Policy

Since the APC is charged only after acceptance and is used to support production and publication services, paid APCs are generally non-refundable once the article has entered copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, DOI preparation, or online publication.

Refund requests, if any, will be considered case by case by the editorial office based on the publication status, administrative circumstances, and journal policy.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Withdrawal of an accepted manuscript is strongly discouraged because the article may have undergone editorial handling, peer review, revision, copyediting, and production preparation. Authors who wish to withdraw an accepted manuscript must submit a formal written request explaining the reason for withdrawal.

The editorial office will review withdrawal requests in accordance with the journal's publishing policies, publication ethics, and administrative considerations.

Important Ethical Statement

The Article Processing Charge is not a payment for acceptance. Manuscripts are accepted only when they meet the journal's scholarly, methodological, ethical, and editorial standards. The journal does not sell publication decisions, fast-track acceptance, citation advantages, indexing guarantees, or editorial privileges.

Any communication suggesting guaranteed acceptance in exchange for payment should be reported to the editorial office immediately.
